Coil Slitting
Precision shearing that converts wide master coils into multiple narrow, calibrated coils — ready for the next stage of your line.
Slitting is a shearing process in which the width of an original or master coil is reduced into multiple narrower coils. A wide range of materials and thicknesses can be slit, ranging from thin foils to thick plate. Normally, the outside edges of the master coil are trimmed.
Our slitting lines are tuned for the tight tolerances required by the automotive supply chain — consistent edge condition, minimal burr and tight strip width control across long-run orders.
Process Highlights
- Wide thickness coverage — foils through plate
- Trimmed master-coil outside edges
- Tight strip-width tolerances for downstream lines
- Material handling tuned for high-volume automotive runs
